Trains on your data by default?

Yes, unless you turn it off. Photoroom uses images you upload to improve its AI by default. Turn off “Improve the model for everyone” on each account; it does not undo past use.

How long chats are kept

While you use Photoroom, or up to 2 years after you last sign in; account details are then archived for 5 years. Images used to improve the AI are kept only as long as needed for that, without your name or contact details.

Safer setup for a small team

Turn off “Improve the model for everyone” on every staff account, since there is no setting for everyone at once.

Plan to approve: Photoroom with the setting off on every account
Setting to check: “Improve the model for everyone” off

A line for your AI policy: Every staff Photoroom account has “Improve the model for everyone” turned off. No customer photos without permission.

Want this in your team’s AI policy? The SafeStart kit, a plain-English AI policy and training for small teams, is coming soon.
