Trains on your data by default?

No, unless you opt in. Read AI says your meetings are not used to train its models unless you join its Customer Experience Program. Its privacy policy adds that it improves its models in line with your account settings, and it uses your meetings to personalize the product inside your own account.

Who can read them

You and the people the report is shared with, but sharing adds up: anyone who invites Read can add people who get the report, unless the owner marks the meeting private. Read AI says its staff do not listen to customer calls.

How to delete

Open the report, click the three dots at the top right, and select “Delete Report.” Only the report owner can delete it for everyone. Read AI says this permanently removes the data from its servers and can’t be undone.

Same steps as other accounts. Workspace admins can also choose who may delete reports, including no one.

How to turn training off

  1. In your account settings, leave the Customer Experience Program off. Read AI says you can opt in or out at any time. Source: read.ai
  2. Turn off saving audio and video for playback if you only need the report. Read AI says it then keeps no audio or video beyond what it needs to produce the report. Source: support.read.ai
  3. On Enterprise+, ask Read AI support to turn on a Data Retention Policy, which deletes data automatically after the number of days your organization chooses. Source: support.read.ai
  4. If you own a meeting, mark it private. Otherwise anyone who invites Read can add people who get the report, and only the owner can lock others out. Source: support.read.ai

Safer setup for a small team

Leave the Customer Experience Program off, mark sensitive meetings private, and stop saving audio and video for playback if you only need the report.
